About Us
The Clenchwarton Community Foundation Trust is committed to improving community facilities to benefit all residents. Our focus on inclusivity and engagement has led to successful events and initiatives aimed at enhancing community life.
Our Objectives
To provide inclusive recreational facilities for Clenchwarton and nearby residents, supporting all ages and backgrounds—especially those facing disadvantage—promoting social welfare and improving quality of life for the whole community.
Our Mission
We aim to offer inclusive, high-quality facilities for all ages through community consultation and expert partnerships, while enhancing the Green Space to be more functional, attractive, and welcoming for everyone.
How We Work
Driven by the best interests of Clenchwarton, we work with the Parish Council, engage the public, run events, and fundraise to improve village facilities, green spaces, and community wellbeing.
Our Achievements
Over the past year, we have organised numerous events, fostering community spirit and participation. These include Bingos, Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Disco, the Christmas Santa Dash, a Family Funday and CPR Training.
In addition to our events, our fundraising efforts have been successful, generating a total of £4,370 at time of writing, this excludes the £4,498 secured from Borough Council Community Infrastructure Levy Funding, all whilst maintaining our own assets and insurance.
Furthermore, our successful funding application from the Borough Council Community Infrastructure Levy Funding, has allowed us to contribute towards improving community facilities, which include picnic tables at the pavilion, recycle bins in the play park and Jubilee Gardens, seating benches outside the school, and cycle racks for the park and Memorial Hall.
Projects Planned
- Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA): One of our goals is to construct a modern MUGA, catering to Tennis, Basketball and 5-a-side football and other activities. This facility will promote physical fitness and community engagement, fostering inclusivity and well-being.
- Gym Trail: We aim to develop a gym trail featuring fitness stations along a designated pathway. This initiative will encourage outdoor exercise and enjoyment of the natural surroundings, promoting healthier lifestyles.
- Recreational Facilities: Providing additional recreational amenities such as playground equipment, picnic areas, and walking trails is essential. These facilities will create opportunities for leisure activities and social interaction, enhancing community cohesion.
Physical and Well-being Facilities: Utilising the existing pavilion allows us to create a welcoming space that truly serves the community’s needs. By developing dedicated facilities for physical activity and well-being, we can foster a sense of belonging, encourage healthier lifestyles, and provide a shared place for residents of all ages to come together, relax, and connect.

CPR & Defibrillator Training - August 2025 (TBC)
This CPR & Defibrillator training session, provided by the West Norfolk Community First Responders, has been designed to provide hands-on experience and critical knowledge.
This FREE training session will be held on a Saturday in August (TBC), 2 - 4pm at the Clenchwarton Memorial Hall and is open to residents of Clenchwarton and the surrounding areas.

Family Funday - Saturday 26th July | 12 Noon - 4.00pm

Bingo Night - Monday 30th June | Doors Open 6.30pm / Eyes Down 7pm
The CCFT team will be holding a Bingo Night to raise funds for community facilities and events. Refreshments will be available to purchase. 6 books are £7, money & alcohol flyers are £1 each, raffle tickets are £1 per strip & Lucky Number are £1 per number. Under 18's are not permitted to play Luck Number as well as the money & alcohol flyers.

Easter Egg Hunt - Monday 21st April | 10am - 12 Noon
Free entry and activities – drinks available to purchase. 🐣🥚🐰🌼
This year’s event features two egg-citing hunts:
1. Main Hunt – Solve anagrams to figure out road names, visit the street signs to collect letters, and then unscramble them to reveal the Easter Egg answer!

2. Mini Hunt – Designed for younger children, this one loops around the play area, Jubilee Garden, and playing field. Perfect for little explorers! 👶🌷🐇

Local businessman, resident and councillor Rob Lucas lends his skills in fundraising, IT and business acumen to projects, “Currently my role is chairman, guiding funding applications and building the business plan as well as all IT matters”.
My name is Julie my role is Community Fund Raiser. I love to get involved in helping organising community events and raising as much funds as we can for our Village.
As a mum of two working in education, I’m passionate about improving Clenchwarton’s facilities. My dedication to enhancing our village and supporting children’s futures for the better motivates me constantly.
As someone with deep family roots in Clenchwarton, I am passionate about improving our village facilities and fostering a strong community spirit to ensure a brighter future for our vibrant village.
