The Clenchwarton Community Foundation Trust is committed to improving community facilities to benefit all residents. Our focus on inclusivity and engagement has led to successful events and initiatives aimed at enhancing community life.
Our Charitable Objects
To provide facilities for the benefit of the inhabitants of Clenchwarton and the surrounding area without distinction of race, sex, sexual orientation, political, religious or other opinions, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.
Our Achievements
Over the past year, we have organised numerous events, fostering community spirit and participation. These include Bingos, Easter Egg Hunt, the Christmas Santa Dash, and Picnic in the Park. Our commitment to a cleaner environment is demonstrated through organised litter picks, promoting a sense of pride in our community. In addition to our events, our fundraising efforts have been successful, generating a net total of £3,072 at time of writing, all whilst maintaining our own assets and insurance. Furthermore, our successful application of £4,498 secured from Borough Council Community Infrastructure Levy Funding, has allowed us to contribute towards improving community facilities, which include more picnic tables, recycle bins, benches, and cycle racks. These are all due to be installed.
Projects Planned
- Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA): One of our goals is to construct a modern MUGA, catering to Tennis, Basketball and 5-a-side football and other activities. This facility will promote physical fitness and community engagement, fostering inclusivity and well-being.
- Gym Trail: We aim to develop a gym trail featuring fitness stations along a designated pathway. This initiative will encourage outdoor exercise and enjoyment of the natural surroundings, promoting healthier lifestyles.
- Recreational Facilities: Providing additional recreational amenities such as playground equipment, picnic areas, and walking trails is essential. These facilities will create opportunities for leisure activities and social interaction, enhancing community cohesion.
- Physical and Well-being Facilities: Renovating the existing pavilion to establish physical and well-being facilities is crucial. This initiative will support the overall well-being of residents, providing accessible spaces for recreation and relaxation.
